I just upgraded my phone to jelly bean. It’s glorious. Oh Google now, this is why I skipped over the iPhone 5.

A note for myself

While in Baltimore tomorrow remember to test out Sprint’s phantom 4G LTE to see if it actually exists.

Our cellphones are collecting a heck of a lot more information than we expect them to be collecting about us. They are collecting where we are, not just at one particular moment in the day but at virtually every moment of the day - where we move to, how long we stay there. This is location information that they collect and that the cellphone carriers collect and most importantly retain for sometimes quite long periods of time. They are also taking note of what we are buying, how we’re purchasing it, how often we’re purchasing it - that’s just the starting point for very important sensitive things phones take note of, including our text messages.

So the money I had saved up for school I used to buy a new phone. I said when I decided to take a class this semester that a new phone would only bring temporary happiness, and class would help me go in the right direction. But since I’m unable to take a class. I’ll have to make this temporary happiness last.

Creepy

I was just using my computer and Swans’ My Birth started playing. I thought it was someone’s blog so I closed out the browser. It was still playing so I closed out my media player, and it was still playing. I built this pc so I know my way around computers. I DON’T KNOW WHERE THE HELL THAT CAME FROM. Of all the bands and all the songs to play.

Edit: It just showed up on my last.fm account too. WTF

A letter

Dear Microsoft network and sharing center

Stop telling me I am connected to the internet. I am sick of your bullshit and lies! How can I be connected but have no access? Isn’t that an oxymoron? FUCK you Windows 7, Linux never gave me this problem.

I Feel Like a Geek Again

I’ve been compare and contrasting phones to replace my current one for the past week and a half. A month ago I said I wanted a HTC EVO 4G LTE, not anymore. I used to be so into computers and electronics.  I built this computer I’m currently typing on back in 2009. After completing it I just kind of lost interest Trying to pick a new phone and seeing all the advancements that have been made has kind of put me back on the horse. Android 4.0 and the recently released 4.1 completely amaze me with all the thing their able to do. And I guess this is a long round about way of saying I guess I’m interested in taking a few classes this fall to work towards maybe a career in the field. Lets see if I can make this work.
